The Conference couldn't organise a ***s up in a brewery. I am sick to death of their incompetence.

So it looks increasingly unlikely that Salisbury will not come up with the cash!
I have no idea whether the likes of Hereford and Salisbury voted for or against 3G but what I find slightly ironic is these clubs were given the right to vote on a rule change all the while they were not abiding by the rules themselves.
As for the conference, what do they actually do? What benefit are the board to it's member clubs?

As for the conference, what do they actually do? What benefit are the board to it's member clubs? They negotiate highly lucrative sponsorship deals...er...hang on...no it turns out they don't

To e fair to the Conference they are hardly to blame for a lot of this. As to the club themselves, where was the due diligence before it was sold, or were they so desperate to offload it that they didn't bother to check out the people buying it?

Am sure I read somewhere that they referenced the guy and a trusted contact of Winter's recommended him as well. Sounds like they've been sold up the river for the sake of a few grand. Hope they can sort it out. But negotiating over whatsapp?!

Does the Conference not have a duty to its members to safeguard this sort of thing? Didn't the Championship block the Leeds takeover because the prospective new chairman was not perceived to be "fit and proper"
Farnborough last season had the finances in place but they hadn't been signed off by the conference lawyers before the start of the season?
Or am I just continuing my search for what the conference board actually does?

Oh yes,the wonderful fit and proper persons test (a few of my Pompey mates will bear testament to that)
Yes, the championship did block the Leeds takeover, until he appealed, and he got let in anyway

Why did the sellers of Salisbury City allow this man anywhere near their club? They were obviously so desperate they left their senses at the door. The Conference haven't a sponsor for 2014/15 as yet. Now I know more about this organisation I am not suprised.

Legal action against the conference?....now where have I heard that before?
Their seems to be a lot of fans from other clubs questioning the competence of the conference board, apparently Salisbury had the cash but the conference moved the goalposts. Apparently the conference advised Tonbridge they wouldn't be in line for a reprieve......not to mention them waiting for the football league to take the lead on artificial pitches.
What about suggesting Oliver tried to engage with clubs rather than bully them........conveniently forgetting the numerous times we had invited them to discuss the matter.
Surely this can't be the same conference board who were praised by some for refusing a FIFA approved pitch belonging to a club with a sustainable business model?
I bet the board won't be blackmailed by Salisbury and that Reg confirms it is not the way to do business
