I was saddened to hear that for the past two home games a member of the crowd in the town end, has chosen to single out and VERBALLY ABUSE one of our youngest players.
This he did from the safety of the crowd, in my opinion and act of cowardice.
If this person feels he has the necessary acumen to hold a constructive and meaningful conversation with our manager and coach, can i suggest he calls the ground and asks for a meeting, i am sure they will be accede to his request.
Our younger players are trying to do their best and to be subjected to this type of criticism and abuse is unacceptable.

Could not agree with you more mate I do find it embarrassing that a so called SUPPORTER will jump on the back of a youngster time and again with very feeble reason to back it up nice to see the players and jay say their view of the idiot lol

Why are we abusive to our own team I just don't understand it. For some reason Rooney was coping a load of it to. We should be encouraging this type of player to stay same with the younger players lets support them not abuse them.. if you want to abuse the players I am sure the gills or angel's will welcome you with open arms

Hmm.
I've not been to the Gallagher since the Brighton game - and every so often there's stuff like this which reminds me why I'm not all that bothered about coming back. Luckily a non-league football ground gives you the option to avoid the idiots...

You keep saying someone is crap it ventually plays on mind and their game will drop. From what I have seen of the youngsters either in early cup games or coming on as subs we have a very promising future.
Why a minority have been doing this is beyond me. We have a fantastic set up and need to be behind all the players 100%
Quite frankly if you don't like the way we play or the team is set up go and gillingham

Couldn't agree more TG, although why people abuse anyone of their team, irrespective of age, is beyond me. I went away to Harrow a few weeks back where there was, in my view, unacceptable abuse of Jack Parkinson from a Stones 'fan'.
I questioned him at the time, in no uncertain terms, as to how he thought that kind of abuse was going to help. The muttered response said it all !
Lets continue to get behind the team, win, lose or draw. COYS

The young players getting abuse is a disgrace there the FUTURE of our club the squad we have now I.e first team regulars are doing a brilliant job in showing the younger lads the ropes jay needs credit for 1 choosing and selecting the players he WORKS WITH DAY IN DAY OUT 2 feels there the correct player to feel the up and coming places in our squad to do the job also the small part of this forum / crowd at home games giving abuse to senior players think yourself lucky to the squad we have any club in the ryman leagues would love half our players we have keep giving them abuse why will they want to stay come on you stones come on jay in you we trust where there 100% behind you and the team

OK, I shall issue all my abuse to the youngsters here, Charlie Robertson scored two goals and made a huge changing impact when he came on, and was my man of match. Jack Sullivan looked like the rest of the back four (Millsy, Sobers & Andrews), solid and hard working. Dan Parkinson did a very good job when he came on. Luke Rooney ran all over the pitch and wasn't afraid to slide the odd tackle in, dribbling was well composed and controlled just lasted a bit too long sometimes. And Frannie collin failed to score? how did that happen?
