I think that list only includes transfers from teams in the Ryman to other teams in the Ryman. Nothing external

To quote one poster - "For me, Rooney had talent and could look lively, but his decision making when it came to knowing when to pass, when to shoot and when to dribble at players was woeful. The frustration was that he looked capable of being a star man, but failed to deliver more often than not." Doesn't that sound like most of our team? He should fit in well! That was me who wrote the above. I think Rooney's best position is more of a secondary forward who drops off a striker into the hole a la Wayne, but to my knowledge he has rarely been asked to play there. When he broke through at Gillingham, we lacked a left sided player so he was given his chance there. As per my comments quoted above, his decision making was woeful, but he did break through at 18 or so. On the pitch, he does sometimes think his name is Wayne and not Luke. Off the pitch, and the reason why some fans have boo'd him when coming up against him, is that he does have a reputation for thinking he is the "big all" and thinking he was better than the club etc although his personality off the pitch is probably based upon hearsay. When he moved to Swindon, I suppose there would be a kind of hope that Di Canio would pass on his experience and he'd learn something. Unfortunately for him, Di Canio considered him unfit and he never got his chance. Considering the league you guys are in, the move could be a good move for him - he needs match time if he is to develop into the player his initial talent suggested. Oh, and if you do play him on the wing, don't expect him to rush back and help out the fullback.

We'll soon find out, Rooney's in the starting XI today, I assume out on the right.

Looked a clever player today with some good touches. Obviously needs to get fitter. Problem is we didn't really work out the best formation in which to play him. Team instantly looked more balanced when Kaiyne came on for him in the Second Half. 4 - 2 - 3 -1 is not easy to adapt to.

Agreed with that porky he does look like he will become a good player for us when he gets fit and he gets used to the rest of the teams.

I really like Frannie as a player & think he works his socks off but he needs a bigger player alongside him, that's why I think he & Zac are good together. Today he was isolated (like he was at the start of the season) and trying to accommodate Rooney didn't work. He should be an alternative to Pnillips & Brown, not an addition to them.

Poor man's Frank Ovard.
But seriously, did he really need such a long runout?

Are there still wingers?! Anyway, what other sort of midfielder is there, a 'lazy midfielder'?* *I am most certainly not thinking of Fatty Lampard here. Most certainly not. of course their is lol what else would you call adam johnson, aaron lennon or rory hill?? several other types of midielder even i know this! It was just a little tongue in cheek. I'm sure someone (probably Clough!) has said - if they're not attacking, what are they doing on the pitch?

I probably did. But I'm sure Glough would have said if he's thought of it!
He once said something like "Football is very simple - you just get the ball and pass it someone else in red".
Which, if you think about it, is just about all you need to know! (Although Black and Amber or Claret and Blue, rather than red, obviously...)
