From the Ryman site: With the new season kicking off on Saturday 10th August 2013 and finishing on Saturday 26th April. Play Off semi-finals are scheduled for week beginning 28th April and the three finals will be played over the weekend of the 3rd, 4th and 5th May. The Ryman League is aiming to release their fixtures week beginning 15th July
What are your preferences on when games are played? Would maybe like to see the club experiment with a Sunday game and see what sort of attendance they get, I know a lot of people work Saturday afternoons. Also maybe switch mid-week games to a Wednesday. Mid-week games always have a lower attendance, probably clashing with ITV's Champions League and England fixtures live on Tuesday nights not helping, just a thought anyway.

The trouble with playing on a Wednesday would mean you have to train on a Monday, at least with Tuesday games Jay can get training in on Thursday and evaluate any knocks etc. Plus when there is no game on a Tuesday he can get two training sessions in. With the new Under21 team Mondays that will also have an impact on the availability of the ground.

Some to ideas but To be honest i think you have got to look in that two ways 1) The club has averaged over 1600 this season with many 2000 plus gates so financially and logistically why change something which works and has brought the fans in this season. 2) And possibly the most importantly is the logistics. Firstly there are agreements with the league regarding what days games are played. Secondly is the Gallagher. With the surface we have meaning that it has full usage all week/year around it would not be easy moving individual fixtures for one week or so. Next season we will have the Academy, Under 18's & Under 21's all having to play their home games at the Gallagher (along with many other youth sides and potentially other sides) so these will all have to be thought through first and would mean we would have to speak to each of the age groups leagues respectively and move their fixtures as well. Ultimately IMO (nothing wrong with what you said at all) if its not broke we don't need to try and fix it.

I've always liked Wednesday nights myself. Probably because we became accustomed to them at Bourne Park. Split the week nicely too.

Also the club make extra revenue with Soccersixes on Sun, Mon & Wed evenings & personally I'm a tad gutted as we play Mon evenings which stops when academy games starts. I think the club have a perfect balance on & off the pitch and can only see it getting better now we have been promoted.

Quick breakdown for next season: 38 weeks for the season with 46 league fixtures. 2 weeks put aside for FA Cup 1st Qualifying round and FA Trophy 1st Qualifying round. So 36 weeks available leaving a minimum 10 mid week league games with 4 of those being played on the bank hols so 6 mid week fixtures to fit in, presumably 3 at home and 3 away. Would be nice if they could mostly be scheduled early in the season when the weather's better and the pitches are in good shape leaving room later in the season for the inevitable postponements and extra cup games or is that far too sensible lol.

That's what is usually done anyway. Midweek evening games in the second half of the season are always rearranged fixtures or cup games.
