Coming from Canning Town in East London means my heart belongs to West Ham. Landed in Maidstone via South Wales about 8 years ago. Became disillusioned with top flight football and the money it cost me some years ago - so I kinda stopped going. When I learned that Maidstone were coming home I vowed to go and fell in love with them after my first game. I went to the majority of home games last season and now have a season ticket for next year. I truly love the club. Old fan or new - the Stones at the Gallagher have been a real boost to the town and to the morale of the community. The place seems friendlier now and I've chatted to more strangers in boozers about the Stones in the past year than I had talked to in all my years previous. The club have been a very positive thing for Maidstone. Long may it continue. COYS!

Us long-suffering fans from the County League days were arguing this with a council who felt that flowery sheep and totem poles were a better way to go. I guess we were right after all

Saw my first Maidstone game in 1972 at London Road when a young boy and became a regular right up until folding in 1992. Saw a few games after reforming but moved to Hastings in 2000 and kind of lost touch, saw Hastings United play a few times but my heart wasn't really in it. Decided to make the effort once they came home to attend some home games and away games in Sussex but ended going a lot more than I anticipated. I like the atmosphere at the new ground and have met up with some old supporters from the old days. Have found old and new supporters to be friendly, will be back next season.

As stated previously on this forum I gave up the watching of Man City (season tkt at Maine Rd and Etihad) some years back and watched a few Stones games here and there since the London Rd days. As a boy living in Medway my brother took me to the Gills and the family assumed an 'arranged marriage' but City was the love affair. Worked in Maidstone from 1972 and lived here since 1988 and consider myself as a Maidstone man. Like 'Toon' I keenly awaited the return to the town and once established I am now a regular with season ticket. Ensconced in the Town End (left side) you will see me and hear me at a lot of away games also. No longer a newbie so shut yer yap!

I bet the local pubs look forward to home fixtures and I gather that people go to several different ones. My impression on a post (Brighton) match pub crawl with NWS was that there are a lot of old-fashioned pubs that are never going to go gastro - and a lot of pubs like that have gone to the wall in recent years which saddens me. So if they're getting a boost, and fans are spreading the word about the club, that's fantastic. (Reminds me - does anyone know which pub it was that appeared in Eastenders with the reference to the Stones?)

I had a season ticket this year & will renew. My 2 sons come to some, but not all games due to school & other commitments so they have paid on the gate. I couldn't get them playoff tickets & they were very disappointed. I may buy them season tickets for next season even though they won't be able to attend all games, just so they can ensure if there are all ticket games again that they will be able to go. I know others are thinking the same

I must come under the category of an old newbie or new oldie ?? not sure which. My first taste of the mighty stone's was being picked up in Larkfield by the old double decker and traveling up to Dartford to see Maidstone play and i was hooked ended up going to most home games traveling up on that old double decker. Then after they went bust like many other's i didnt see them play again so when they returned to Maidstone i was there like a shot and i am well and truely hooked again, only missed a couple of home game's this season and been to a couple of away one of which was Dulwich where the atmosphere was Brilliant. Season ticket is on its way COYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got walked to a game at London road from Upper Fant by my father over 55yrs ago, had my 21st birthday piss up my stag night at the wreck, followed the stones to Dartford ect.. Have lived in Medway for 38yrs, never been to Priestfields except when we played there nor Chatham Town.. When the Stones died, I took up golf to cover Saturdays, as soon as the Stones came back home I bought my season ticket to continue the journey. Call me oldbie, newbie I do not give a s**t, the stones are back home that's all that matters to me.

I'm another returnee. First started watching Stones in 74 with my uncle, season ticket holder through Dartford days but lost heart after we went bust and started watching rugby as I can't stand premier league prima donnas!! With a few old mates from the day we have been fairly regular at home this season and are loving the whole vibe - sometimes the result is secondary and what's great is the simplicity of watching football at this level! I am keen that the club advance up the pyramid but have mixed feelings about how far as I don't want to lose the current home vibe!

Im an oldie newbie. First went to London Road in the late 70's with my Grandad who was a massive Stones fan. This progressed to a bunch of us going to Dartford on a regular basis before i concentrated on playing football myself for a good 20yrs. Went to Shitingbourne a couple of times and nearly died from frostbite, but promised myself that when the Stones came home i would be their. Had some cracking times down the Gallagher this season in the Town End, and enjoyed some away games as well, Hythe and Dulwich spring to mind. You can take your Premier League and the prima donnas and shove it, this is proper football with your mates, a pint and a good laugh. Roll on next season. COYS

Went regularly during the 80's and early 90's, I was there Boxing Day 89 and when we were robbed by Cambridge. Moved to Hastings and missed the rebirth. Went to the games at Hastings until moving to Seaford. Managed to get to Worthing and Eastbourne this season. Hoping for Lewes first away game so I can see the Stones before moving to America. Must get to the Gallagher too...
