Can anybody please explain to me why Stuart King isn't starting more games, I find it incredible that a player we have allegedly paid £5k for isn't starting every game he's available to play in, we have a player here who is a proven goalscorer and has won the golden boot in previous seasons, when he has played upfront with Ade we have looked a real attacking force, yesterday when he came on we looked more assured and he showed some fantastic first touches, i for one don't blame him in the slightest for coming across as fed up or miserable, I think anybody would feel the same. With all the supposed rumours floating around about players moving on at the end of the season, we should be building a team around our contracted players and especially King.

First time I have agreed with any of your recent posts.I think because Jay keeps chopping and changing the forward line we need 10 chances before we score.Ade and King up front please.

careful, TA, the no-negativity will be on you.
To answer the question, i think we have had so many decent goalscorers that Jay has maybe been a little uncertain which combination to play and, more imprtantly, has probably been juggling things round to keep players happy and involved. I'm with you though. I would play King and Ade up front for the last two games. King has good touch in and around the box and is consistently sniffing for a goal. ade has power and pace and gets a few goals to boot.

Perhaps if he wasn't such a stroppy git he might do . He didnt celebrate any goals yesterday and spat his dummy when he didnt take the penalty, just walked back to halfway line like a naughty spoilt kid. He didnt wave the other day when fans sang his name . Also ive noticed when he does score he celebrates away from the fans . So king have the same sort of attitude as other the players and you could end up being one of our greats. I do agree though he should start and given a fair chance however , I don't agree that ade should start his best performances have been from the bench

TBF looking at the state of some of our supporters I wouldn't want to associate myself with them either.

Anybody would think he's a world beater! The rest of our forwards have all scored goals at higher levels! I guess they all could feel aggrieved if they wasnt starting like they was when he first arrived! It's the all about him and sellfish greedy attitude that don't help him! A lot of changes to the squad needed providing we go up wouldn't be to bothered if he wasnt involved next season! I've seen better forwards around with far better attitudes in our standard!

For a so called selfish player he sets up a decent amount of chances for others. I don't think we've seen the best of him yet, mainly because he hasn't had enough starts really gel with the rest of the team and show what he's capable of.

Totally agree with you Dave, the man brings an element of class to proceedings.
And actually considering all the negative stuff that has gone on on this forum, this is a player who encourages the team to keep the ball on the deck and pass to feet.
If you watch the highlights he is always wanting the ball into his feet and making runs to give the options.
Whilst I don't think the club should have sentiment for any player, I do think he needs to be given a good run of games and I'm sure we'll see him get better and better.
As for his body language, the Folkestone fans would agree he quite often looks disinterested, but I'm sure they would have him in their team without any question

He is only two goals off winning the Ryman South Golden Boot... so crazy that he gets so much stick on here!

That's probably why he wanted to take the penalty on Saturday, it would be nice for our player to win the golden boot, hopefully he can get a couple in the last few games

Good to meet up with you at Walton last Saturday Frank. Following a good pre-match drink I did raise with SK the fact that some of us felt he did'nt smile or wave and he did say he does try his best. A few of us did try to encourage him and he did make a massive difference coming on just as we seem to run out of ideas at 75 mins.

Yes according to Bill Stuart wanted the penalty for that very reason. At the end of the match Bill told Micky Philips who had not realised. Amazing he might still win the golden boot considering his lack of games since he joined us.

he'll be on fire next season when he has a decent run at it. what ever league we're in its gona be a great team. jay has a great problem of 5 good front men. also I totally agree with the heathside city boy that I wouldn't want to celebrate with some of those fans down the front. imagine getting a sloppy kiss n cuddle from the likes of deano's brother (games dead) when he'd rather shake the hand of an upper class chav and his chums standing at the back.

www.thisiskent.co.uk/Maidstone-United-s-Stuart-King-day-return/story-18846527-detail/story.html#axzz2RzCfEAQJ Maidstone United's Stuart King could one day return to Folkestone Invicta
Tuesday, April 30, 2013Jack_Wilson
STUART KING says there is always a chance he will return to Folkestone Invicta - as long as Neil Cugley is manager. King's new club Maidstone take on his old club Invicta in a HUGE Ryman One South play-off clash at the Gallagher Stadium tonight (7.45pm).
The prolific striker is a legend at Cheriton Road and left in a £6,000 deal back in November - but has not been starting week in week out for the Stones. King said: "I'm still contracted at Maidstone until the end of next season so my Folkestone return will have to wait to happen one day. "All the while Cugs [Neil Cugley] is there there is a chance I'll come back. "He's trying to progress and move the club the right way. "He knows his stuff, he knows his players and he knows the league." King started up front with Ade Olorunda for Maidstone in their 3-0 win over Horsham on Saturday - but does not know whether he will be do likewise tonight. King said: "Who knows? It's been strange since I've been there as I haven't really got going. "When I've started I've scored but I haven't played every week. "I've missed out on the golden boot and I should have won that outright - but I've still scored a hell of a lot goals for the amount of games I've played. "There are mixed feelings ahead of the game but it's always going to be like that. "Folkestone have two of the best centre-backs around in Liam Friend and Frankie Chappell - but Maidstone have got some classy ones like Watto [Steven Watt]. "Friendy's got pace and Chaps wins everything in the air so it'll be tough in they're on their game. "[Richard] Atkins has always been capable of scoring goals but when I was there he just did all my donkey work. "I used to say I want the ball here and he'd give it to me - it was the best thing for him maybe that I went. "I think Folkestone will come at us and give it a go. "Cugs thinks he knows me but I don't even know myself sometimes - I just pull something out the hat!"
Nice to see him giving his current club so much praise

It's an interview for their website. He's just saying what they want to hear.
