Oh my god, I had a feeling that Leatherhead would turn them over and had been saying so for ages, the only thing I didn't foresee was getting turned over by Faversham, just got to win our remaining games and hope the pressure gets to them
“ What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love"
I will do be likewise next season if we are unfortunate enough to have to play Shittingbourne again.
No offence "toon" but when you was watching your real team on sky sports last season you might have missed the point that Sittingbourne played a bit part in helping to keep the Stones as you now know them alive! Yes some of their players acted like dicks at the end of the recent game ( and some of them should have showed more respect- eh butch?)but you really need to read the history books before banging on all the time.
Great result for us tonight although I too would be very angry at the circumstances in which Leatherhead got a second bit of the cherry on this one, if I were a Dulwich fan. I can understand why Pink Panther would be advocating such things. I felt the same about Tonbridge in the past when some of their fans seemed intent on causing a problem.
As for SIttingbourne, what mo says is true. We might not be around if it were not for the ability to rent their pitch. However, Sittingbourne fans could also reciprocate by remembering that they may well have disappeared if we had not been paying that rent (their forthcoming move shows just what our money was doing for them). It does not have to be one way.
Mo - you have to accept that TA has a right to boycott Sittingbourne if he wants to based on what he witnessed the other week. There is no need to have digs because he is new to Stones this season
Warm Regards from the Darling of the Messageboards who has seen a verifiable 190 different teams play at home.
