With all joking aside Danny lye has actually been playing well of late. Helped with a stunning goal against three bridges.

Whilst everybody thinks the sun shines out of certain player *rses, Mr Lye gets on with the game and does exactly what a Defensive Midfielder does which is break up play and get stuck in, making telling interceptions and carrying out pin point passes to his own players, there seems to be a downer on Mr Lye which is totally unjustified, he is an asset to the team and to be honest he is an integral part of the team and one we need to keep hold of.

Spot on toon, does exactly what a player in that position should. MOTM today imo, his hard work and enthusiasm for the job was immense.

Well here's hoping when the man of the match poll finally gets underway that people vote for Danny Lye

While I like Danny Lye I thought he allowed possession to go to the oppo in dangerous positions at times by dwelling on the ball and being indecisive.
The hero today was the manager. When plan A of having Draycott, King and Booth as an attacking triangle ceased to work, Jay noted that O'Hara was the thorn in our side down their left. He brought on Rory Hill who used his speed down the wing to cover back and negate the problem. Not bad for someone who has been criticised as being tactically inept.
I thought the second and third goals were really good passing goals.

last year at a stoneslive black and amber show, I described danny lye as an old donkey sitting in front of the defence being annonymouse. Captain at the time Graham Andrews did some great defending that evening. Everything I said has shown to be true, also everything Graham said is true. Without our annonymouse donkey just in front of the defence breaking up attacks and sweeping the remnants forward we would be a mid table rabble at best. Long may danny lye and tim olorunda bless us with their presence

With Danny what you see is what you get, he works hard and holds the midfield together. His sending-off last week was a bit of a joke and he will be missed next saturday along with micky phillips.
