He was poo, booked Sean when he went in for a 50/50 with the keeper when they both got hurt. He also missed the fact that he should have asked Shaun to leave the field of play after the attention he received for his injury. Totally lost in the fact that he got the 50/50 booking wrong.

There were a few tasty challenges going in and players like Phillips, Welford, Watt etc could be seen visibly berating the ref, at length, for poor decisions Would anyone care to comment on Mr Fissenden's performance? He's always been a favourite ref, at least in provoking a reaction! I had to miss the match in order to freeze up country. As per normal Kieth, He really is the worst ref i have ever come across.......and he just loves doing our games, he gets off on all the abuse we throw at him..

He was terrible, enjoyed blowing up for any slight challenge, some decisions were also questionable, but hey we won and thats all that matters

I thought the refs performance was what sparked us into action 2nd half. Really seemed to piss off absolutely everybody and make us more determined to grind something out. That Welford / keeper 50/50 was an atrocious decision.

I think Fissenden has improved a little with age
He has graduated to being consistently really poor
I can't write what he was before, the moderators won't allow it

Fissy was as Fissy is! Jumped up little Hitler who never hides the fact that he hates Maidstone. Absolutely spot on. Never has a refs dislike of a team been more obvious than Fissenden's dislike of Maidstone. A thoroughly arrogant and nasty piece of work who clearly gets off on winding up players and fans alike.

Fissenden, the only man that could reduce mild mannered Jason Barton to a string of expletives in the bar after yet another baffling performance!

The first half on Saturday was a bit 'oh no, here we go again' but to then go on, dig in and turn it around with just 25 minutes to go says a lot for the players' spirit, from the bench all the way thru the side.
They dug that win out thru sheer determination and anyone who had any doubts about commitment only had to see the passion on display in second half, not to mention the joy and relief on the players' faces when the first goal went in.
...all that said, I think the turning point for me was just before Mickey Philips scored, someone in seats on the far side called out to him, offering their thoughts on the simplicity of the offside rule just after he'd been caught. I don't think Philips replied out loud but it did seem to fire him up even more, especially when the same person also shouted out that Dull Itch were losing, that seemed to go through the whole side and lifted all...so well done whoever that was

It's weird editing and watching back the highlights. it looks like we really dominated, apart from a few chances Herne Bay didn't really offer much in the way of attack. I did think they they were a very hardworking team though, the pressure of them not winning at home in forever began to show when we equalised and we took full advantage of that, second half we were ruthless rather than amazing.
