Last nights inaugural meeting went well with about 35 people in attendance. The discussion on whether to set up a Supporters Club was put on hold while the club's proposed Membership Scheme was discussed and how this would affect the merits of an Independent Supporters Club. After plenty of discussion it was unanimously decided upon to press ahead with the formation of the iMUSC. The majority of the Committee Members were voted in en-masse with only the position of Chairperson to be decided. The vote being between Frank Williamson and myself (Bryan). Both Frank and I were given the chance to tell those present what we thought we could bring to the position, and after a private vote during which Frank and I left the room, it was announced that I had been voted in as Chairperson with Frank taking up the role of Club Secretary. The Committee is therefore made up of the following: Chairperson: Bryan Reedvice-Chairperson: Tim MurrellSecretary: Frank WilliamsonTreasurer: Adrian SharpMembership Secretary: Stuart SmithAway Travel: Des LeighGeneral Committee Members: Jon Parr (Fundraising) John Gooch (IT/Website) Ant Coombes James Reed Albert SiggeryMembership fees were agreed at £5/Adult and £2.50/Junior & Senior Citizens. Membership, if you join now, will run until 30th June 2014; the remainder of this season and the 2013/14 season. Membership Forms can be downloaded and printed from here>> www.smtwtgh.co.uk/imusc_form.pdf or alternatively ask any of the above committee members who should have some at all forthcoming games.

I think its really important that as many of the clubs supporters sign up to the independent supporters club as soon as possible, this will give us a voice to be heard by the owners of the club and we can build on the successes of this season and future seasons, together we can help this fantastic club that we all love and want the best for, one last thing is to remember we are Maidstone UNITED......COYS

Membership of the Independant Maidstone United Supporters Club is £5 which can be donated either to myself as membership secretary, Raggystone as the chairman, "OR" if you catch him sneaking in at half time NWS is the money counter. Don't leave it to others, This is a collective voice for the improvement of services availible for all supporters through a non profit co-op

You probably need to stop chatting men up in toilets and pretending it is an opinion

Sure it's been mentioned already but what we get for being a member? Will be joining anyway even if the answer was nothing. Just wondered.

Sure it's been mentioned already but what we get for being a member? Will be joining anyway even if the answer was nothing. Just wondered. The £5 (adults) / £2.50 (concessions) membership fee will run for the remainder of this season and all of next season. As Stewart has already posted, we are still in negotiations with the club but we can already offer discounted away travel on the coaches we will be organising as from next season. We are hoping to be able to offer a discount at the club shop, but this has to be agreed with the football club. There are also plans for Junior members to receive a card signed by the players either at Christmas or on their birthdays. To be honest, most of this will have to be discussed at the first committee meeting but I am going to push for Junior members to be used as ballboys/girls or get the chance to lead the team out on matchdays. A regular newsletter is already in the pipeline, although this may either be emailed out or available to download from the upcoming supporters club website - there are no plans to print and post the newsletter due to financial constraints. The aim of the SC is to raise funds which can be donated to the football club to help pay for upgrades to the Gallagher. Please bear with us while we get this venture up and running; I believe that a strong supporters club can only be beneficial to everyone, and to be strong we need as many members as possible. Bryan
