Yes - it's an acquired taste. I love it and the Christmas raffle is the highlight of my year. Perhaps I should get out more.

Blimey this is hard ...
The Fant arms, The swan Loose road....public bar, very different pub to the posh saloon bar the other side of the door, and of course the wheatsheaf.. and after you have finished in them on Saturday night, jump in the car and drive down to the warehouse for a late one, oh how times change

'The Pilot' in Lower Stone St, 'Royal Paper Mill' at Tovil and for an Orwellian (look it up!) view of life, Earls in Earl St. Favourite restaurant is Mexa-Mexa owned by a Benfica fan Carlos. Also in Earl St.

I was a regular in the Arches in the mid 80's onwards. I used to have a Triumph Stag which I parked outside sometimes - great for pulling lol !
