Best passer of the ball we had in midield, but we dont pass the ball through the midfield, so I guess Jay thought we didnt need him. Christ Shauns neck must ache come Sunday morning.

He thinks that decorum is a Roman painting his house. Very funny NWS, I almost choked on my skinny latte.

Tbh couldnt have cared less on if he stayed or not. He wasn't bad, he wasn't good he was just 1 of a thousand mediocre players not like warren, flisher, tim or brown

Something wasn't right here. Its not down to the budget at all. They have had a disagreement. Simple

I think we will end up regretting the decision to let him go! We now only have Phillips and Brown as the creative spark in our central midfield. With one of these players been forced to play on the right hand side we suddenly look lacking in numbers. We now have no strength in depth in two of the most key positions (centre back and centre midfield)

The guy who said that Ben Davisson was a mediocre player, well we must of been watching two different players then mate because i cant honestly say I've haven't seen a better passer of the ball in all the games i've seen this season and thats including the cup game against Salisbury. I know he was questioned a bit on his work rate but when you look at his all round approach to the game, he was always in space looking to receive the ball and move it on, he gave us a bit of creativity in the middle of park, i personally thought he always gave a 100% in all the times i saw him play, his first touch nearly always took him into space and also i think he was one of a few players we had that could make things happen and drive the team forward. Where people get the idea that Michael Phillips is a creative midfielder from i don't know, the guy is a ball winner and a great reader of the game and defiantly one of the best defensive midfielders I've seen at this level for sure and he could easily play at a higher level but he isn't creative i don't think. Lyesy- well where do we start, guy gives a 100% that i do not doubt what so ever but as a few people of have already mentioned he does give away a lot fouls, always giving the ball way and quite often caught out of position. I would think he was do a much better job at centre back if i'm honest because he is a good header of the ball and is very vocal, but if thats all it takes to play at this level in centre mid is to shout a lot and send the ball into orbit then i can do that easily (also my payment would be in burgers). Tim O- When i first saw him at the start of the season i was a bit like what the hell have we got here? But he is improving every week i see him and is a bit like of the Philips sort of mould, a ball winner and looks for the simple pass (i know he gave away the ball for letherheads second). Browny- Well why he is stuck out on the wing i don't know, it seems to me its a case of "oh he's young so he must be quick and be able to beat a man and but a good ball in", but he is wasted out there and quite often is isolated. On saturday it seemed Flish was our only outlet and he did play well but you cant rely on one guy to be your main provider of creativity! These are only my opinions on the matter and I'm sure quite a few people will disagree with me but all in all i think letting Ben go was more our loss than his because he can play at a higher level. I would be interested to know if something has happened behind the scenes though. All the best for the future Ben

A few seasons ago it used to be the younger players sticking together and the same for the older players. Now the team is very close in every way. Some of the players have had to wait for there chance to play games. Everyone wants to play and its hard for Jay to keep them all happy. Ben didn't like the fact he was left out the other week and spat his dummy out. He thinks he should be starting every game. Jay does not need players kicking off. Let his tantrums happen elsewhere. Well done jay

Anybody who went to the ressies game last Tuesday, well actually anybody within a 3mile radius of the stadium would have heard Ben spit his dummy out. Weather it is related to this is another thing, but my god it was unprofessional and the dummy was well and truly spat out..

Certainly makes more sense than the football/budget related reasons

In my opinion Ben was one of the better footballers in the squad and enough has been said on ere about that but if he spat his dummy then Jay had no choice. It is sad that we have lost him but the club is always bigger than the player.
