As Jay says in his journal its a budget decision , simple as that. Must have been a tough conversation for Jay to have with Ben , as Jay knows as well as everyone else what a gifted lad Ben is.

It still seems a poor decision also with the other Ben on his way to Scotland...

Yes I agree ob1, but I suppose thats why Jay is the manager , to make these sort of tough decisions. It is a shame we couldn't hang on to Ben as he obviously didn't want to go.

With all due respect it seems strange if this is due to budget - back to our earlier posts, we simply must get out of this league this year & crowds are exceeding budget.

The fact is with Alex brown playing mostly on the right we have only got Mickey, Danny and Tim o for the two center mid roles and all have had injurers so far this season but we have five forward with another on recall for the two forwards spots it seems a bit strange to me...

The way we are playing currently we don't need any midfielders they get so little of the ball unless they are defending, with the Stoke style of football we are playing which consists of constantly lumping the ball from back to front all game long, I am amazed they don't get stiff necks constantly looking up, we need to play the game on the ground and pass it around like we did at the start of the season, anyway I realise this is about Ben leaving so I had better get back on track, it's a real shame he has gone but we need to move on and fingers crossed Jay has made the correct decision, time will tell

Yes, we might as well not bother with the midfield, certainly at home. Perfect playing surface, we played good football on it in pre-season...since then it's been lumped up to Shaun's head time and time again, and is very frustrating when we've got "ballers" (and the Lyester) in the middle
With regards to Ben, something's just not right. I just can't believe it's simply down to footballing or even financial reasons

Unfortunately, animal understands very little, Lenny I gathered that from his general lack of decorum.

He thinks that decorum is a Roman painting his house.

Defo more to it than footballing reasons, cause if it was football decision it was a very bad one.
