King was the best player in a Stones shirt until Ade came on. We were generally pretty poor for the first half hour, but picked up after that. In theory we could have been 4-0 down but you could also argue that we could have had a couple ourselves. No team scores every chance they get. After their couple of early misses in the second half it was pretty much all us and much like the Worthing game we could (and probably should) have snatched it at the end.

King is a goal scorer, he is not going to run around chasing as per Welford. We need to get the ball to his feet, in and around the box. Hoofing it over the top, or head high is not what he needs. We need to learn to play to his strengths. 1 goal per game for Folkestone says it all.

overthehillstone is spot on, when will we stop the long hopeful punt to Shaun (as good as he is) and get the ball down, on our quality pitch and pass the bloody thing. Who knows we might actually see the best out of King and give the likes of Davisson the chance to pass and move.

CDG are a very good side. They move the ball around well and are very dangerous going forward. At 2-0 and as bad as we were playing defensively, the way this season has gone I always fancied us to get back in the game and in the end it was CDG who were hanging on. Ade sparked us in to life. I thought Ben Dav done really well considering and as the game went on he was starting to get on the ball more and make things happen until he tired. Jay made a big call putting the 2 new lads in for this game. Thought they both done alright. I prefer to see Shaun playing more central. When we were chasing the game he was being pushed too wide for me. He's a handful for any team and should be in the box getting on the end of things not taking throw in's. Maybe Kaiyne should have come on instead of Draycott to give us that width? I hope we get Humphrey back soon. If not then Wardy might need to step in at the back just to steady the ship in there. Another exciting game at the gallagher. Edge of the seat stuff. I hope BHT is postponed on Tuesday. Bring on Dulwich. This is going down to the wire!

Agree with most of what has been said here. My MOTM is defo Ade - made the difference and his energy got us back in the game.
Its a shame Shaun can't get on the end of his own throws! Think he might have won it for us single-handed! ;D ;D

Younger than Booth and less injury prone than both of them. Yes okay but what extra does he give us ON the pitch??? Exactly, for me Draycott and Boothy both work a lot harder and score goals. Someone please tell me what he brings that they don't. Ade came on today worked his socks off and got the reward he deserved. As someone who played as centre back I would love to play against King, just put him on his right foot and he's not got a clue. Get tight and he will lose the ball easily! Win a stronger header early and he won't challenge all game! We have 5 strikers now, 4 of which are proven at a higher level. Time will tell and I am hopeful he proves me wrong as he seems a genuine lad but I find him so painful to watch. If we get promoted we will no doubt have the pick of players so I really don't understand it? Good luck Kingy I honestly hope you turn out to be the player we all hope you can be!

Well we esacaped from that game with a point! CDG pretty much dictated the game, playing some nice passing football coming out from defence and right through the team. We, on the other hand tended to lump it long and hope for Welford to get a knock down. We managed to wrest control of the game for about 10-15 minutes which was enough for us to score two goals. After that it returned to what it had been before. Quite how CDG weren't out of sight on the scoreboard (well mythical scoreboard ;D) is beyond me.
On the subject of King. He didn't run around like a headless chicken but neither did he disgrace himself. A lot of the cleverer moves went through him and some of his touchs were excellent. The main thing he doesn't seem to have much of is presence. Surely that is Welford's job. I thought Welford really played for the shirt yesterday and was desperately trying to do something up front to drag us back into things. Ade was the same when he came on and, thankfully, he got a return for his enthusiasm.

Terrible first half/first hour, but always felt that if we could grab a goal then we could go on and win it. Can't agree with the general opinion about the two debutants, but they need to gel into the side. Hare doesn't look like a full back, and Greenhalgh was caught in the middle too often and depriving us of an outlet down the left. Ade's all round play when he came on was the best I have seen from him and bearing in mind we were shocking until he came on means he gets the MOTM vote from me

The only diference between the two teams in my opinion was passing, Crawleydowngatwick seemed to pass to players in a red shirt, stones seemed to hoof over the top where it was picked up by a player in a red shirt.

Younger than Booth and less injury prone than both of them. Yes okay but what extra does he give us ON the pitch??? What is it exactly that you don't like about him? You haven't had a decent word to say about him since he arrived. And when I answered your question with an answer you obviously didn't like you just asked it again. Adding the "ON the pitch" didn't change the meaning of the question so therefore it doesn't require a different answer. So who should I put my faith in, the manager who has us 2nd in the league or someone who isn't the manager and clearly has an axe to grind?

For all their slick passing, they didn't create many clear cut chances. 2 goals, one of which was a goalkeeping howler, and 2 bad misses. Other than that Derren barely had a save to make. Badly as we played we probably created more chances than they did.
