If anyone thinks teams will just roll over and allow us to stroke their soft underbelly by the mere fact we are Maidstone utd you are very much mistaken.Up until Alex left the field we sounded much the better team.

Full Time and an absolutely shit game and performance Bit harsh to judge like that having not seen it? May not have been at this game, but the commentary summed it up pretty good in my opinion especially when the young lad co commentating said Horsham will see it as 2 points dropped

No i dont expect teams just to roll over for us, Sittingbourne didn't and neither did Hythe on saturday the only difference was the players seemed up for the game on saturday and not tonight

Try and rejoice in 1 point gained then.

Zach also said a point was a fair result. If you draw your away games and win at home, you'll be there or thereabouts. An away point is ok, Horsham have a decent home record (5-2-3)

Looks like our former landlords did us a bit of a favour

Hmmm. Another performance like this and we could go to Champions Hill on the same points and games played (or worse!).
Is this mid-season blues, or the injuries, or have we just stopped trying now we are top (or thereabouts) and getting used to the big crowds?
Not sure we can rely on the same big crowds if we spend another season in this division.

Yep, cracking result for them - keeps them in with a playoff shout. Hasn't been a bad night

We were very, very lucky to leave with a point.
Still, at least Davisson is back. Though why risk Flisher again? Was clear from the start he wasn't 100%.

Come on people! Chins up! 2nd, 1 point behind, 1 game in hand? Went to the game and just listened to Jay's post match interview. Yes I can understand that there will be a lot of disappointment that we have not played Horsham off the park with free flowing attractive football but did they mention the pitch in commentary? Not great a surface and for me it contributed to a poor game. The ball just wouldn’t run true for anybody and it got worse as the game went on. It was bobbling about all over the place. Horsham seem a strong, physical side and out muscled us at times. Our goal was well worked. Quality finish from Welford. Mistake led to the Horsham goal and Deren was lucky not to get a red. A rush of blood and the fella lashed in the free kick. Lost Flisher again and Phillips to injury. King came on and looked up for the battle and good to see Ben get some minutes. So on balance a point was fair and now to matters off the pitch tomorrow. Fingers crossed Welford stays and Brown is able to re-join the squad for the next wee while.

Full Time and an absolutely shit game and performance, Maidstone were very fortunate to get a point from this game after the pressure Horsham put on the Maidstone goal in the 2nd half, what the hell is wrong with this team, who only seem up for the games against the so called big teams and then struggle so spectaculary against the teams struggling in the league, Very Jekyll and Hyde team, who knows what team will show up on saturday against Crawley Downs Hopefully the same team that has lost just once in 18 league games !!!

Don't think the pitch can be blamed... No one said anything about pitch on Saturday at hythe and it was about the same if not worse.we are going to play half our remaining games on pitches of a similar standard so lets get over that we are just spoilt at home games. The fact is after a bright start we took our feet off the gas and when we let Horsham back in it we couldn't raise our game enough. No one had a particularly bad game it's just no one really had a match winning performance

The pitch was poor but so were we, cant blame the pitch if we want to get out of this league we have to cope with these types of pitches! I just don't get this as an 'oh well we got a point situation' If you take out the cups, how many time have we played well as a team this season? We just kept on picking up points! That wont go on for ever! And what's going on with Flish? Comes back after 2 weeks from a bad looking hamstring and pulls it again! 10 days later, back on the pitch and gets 10 mins, 4 days later starts a game and pulls it again! Sorry, but unless we've found a miracle cure that's just plain stupid! I don't blame Flish, the boy wants to play, but someone has to tell him:
YOU'RE NOT READY!!!
Rant over, feel better now, will be totally behind them come the weekend! ;D

Was Flish's injury a reoccurence of the same injury again or did he pick up a new injury in the bad tackle on him that the guy was lucky not to be booked for.

According to Zach and Chris on stoneslive it was a recurrence. Fingers crossed it's not too severe but didn't sound good
