Are there any plans to run supporters coaches to any of the forthcoming away games? With the lack of parking at Dulwich, and it being a top of the table clash, I would be interested in going by coach.

We could really do with a supporters club for this sort of thing...

What's the train trip to Dulwich like? I seriously cannot remember anything about the last time I went there on the train even though it was only five years ago

Train trip to Dulwich is straightforward - East Dulwich station is right next to the ground, journey is about an hour and a half. National Rail site suggests (from Maidstone East) change at Otford, then Peckham Rye. I'm local (5 mins down the road), so let me know if you need pub or food recommendations!

It would be a good idea especially for those grounds that are not located near to a rail station

Highlight of my season Dulwich on Tim Tim travel. Throw in Daddy Brockway too and there's a nice pub 5mins away. How he finds them is beyond me. Chooo-chooooooo!

Happy New Year!! I don’t think we’ll be running any more away coaches (still keep looking at the calendar thinking we should a game pencilled in for the 8th!) however, if we get a show of hands for at least 30 people then, of course, we’ll try and get things sorted.
I can tell you that Shepherd Neame is doing a drink offer for all those who are at the Dulwich Hamlet game between 1pm and 2pm. All session lager and Spitfire is £2 per pint.
(The first person to mention ‘how about a coach then’ will be placed on the naughty step!)

A bit OT, but does anyone remember the old Dulwich ground?
We had a game there years ago (Trophy, presumably?) and I went up on the supporters coach. When we got there we filed in through the turnstiles, only to find the place pitch dark.
After a few minutes they turned the floodlights on, and we discovered we were standing on top of what seemed like a vast terrace! (wood and cinder, if I remember correctly). The ground was huge. It also had (so I was told) Palace's old lights, so it looked like a 'proper' ground from the old days - huge terraces and massives lights at each corner.
I've looked all over the place for photos of the ground to confirm my memories, but all I can find are pictures of the main stand (which was pretty big). And what maps/diagrams I can find never show any terraccing, huge or not.
Have I made this memory up or was it really like that?

I went to the old ground. Probably the same game you mention. It was massive for non league. I parked up the hill and the only thing I can remember is that when I got back to the car every car parked there had its window smashed and radio stolen! It was a freezing cold night & I think I've only just thawed out from having to drive home without a passenger side window!

On the same site as the existing ground apparently. From what I've read elsewhere, not quite. There is some overlap, but most of the site of the old ground became the supermarket next door to the current ground, which is built largely on the old training pitch. Pictures are very difficult to find online.
